...
we sit
in dark corners
glances of pleasantry
flicker
tease
fickle
breeze
through dark
corners
of our making.
then again
there be alligators
an tigers and bears
o my...
so we sit...
fickle pickled
enjoying views
untouched.

Critiques

:iconmyvonne:
Having watched you for some time, I see this image as one of the 'reflected' scenes. I love the darkness of the room, the straight seating with the organic outdoor scene.

I do agree with the other critique that the extra window to the right does distract a bit. I don't really know if you could have done anything different because moving to the right to shoot would have put the other scene way to the left. Perhaps it could have been darkened down in PS or in the real time lab.

It is, having said that, a stunning image and I really do love it. As i said, it goes with a 'set' of reflections that you've done. It's about how you see things and I like that.

Composition being choice has many options, but what does the title mean here?
Is it the choice of light or dark? left or right? inside or outside?
I love the the light and the way that it, the outside comes inside. But what of the other choices.
Left or right? I would prefer the image if the big feature, the square of light wasn't central.
To make that choice would make the composition stronger, but take the meaning from the title, but then why compromise the composition for the title?
The perfect choice for me, would be to crop the incomplete window on the left (it distracts from the main theme and takes away the feeling of darkness inside) all the way up to the second window or even cropping out the second and the third window. These choices all offset the main theme and for me improve the composition.
But the choice is yours :)
Despite my criticism, this is still a lovely image, which has options remaining, and choices which prompted me to consider it in greater than usual detail.

I love the words with the image. 'they seem to allude to looking at pictures on line... they way we do so often.. and the image is about that as well. Great work in my opinion!
