Inpsiration: Featuring Favorite (at the moment )Galleries sur dA: The amount of work that went into this concept--merits recognition in itself--yet the choice of keeping things in a monochrome palette of white--really demonstrated this artist perception and craftsmanship worthy of applause. The body language of vulnerablity and sigh open to interpritation---invite such an emotional reaction. a thousand words are provoked--with one look into these eyes--- powerfully expressive yet simple...not always easy to do...yet she's accomplished this here.
this guy has some amazing work--- it is up to you to check it out.
Favorite artisians sur dA: (this list is far from complete--truth is i've many) (will finish later must go) Inspiration Ilse Bing To capture anothers persona is the goal of anyone who seeks to portray a living soul. These images--speak loudly. Works suggested and Featured by the relative Gallery Directors. * If I had a hammer. Suggested DDs: Since not all are accepted--I'd like to share these. * upon first impressions it draws in for a closer look...the toning is well done and the composition gives it alot of dimension. the sublte subject that stands behind the screen of tinted time---make this an image worth placement on a wall. * Great POV and the smooth definitive black and white tones--make this cliche of an image--stand aside from the ordinary--with the extra attached. who hasn't seen enough umbrella cliche shots? this one stands out for the choice of setting, as well as the monochrome tones, that balance this into a whimsical and moody picture. * I am speechless--the colours here are so powerful and alive --yet soft and tranquil. A portrait of a soul. * there is so much mood reflected in this portrait. Its as if stepping into the privacy of an introspective trance. The choice of monochrome, perfect for this image. the slow speed control and the choice of colours creates a wonderful drama of selves. It gives the impression of how delicate and haunting our diversity of self can be. Railroad tracks might just be another cliche. However the perspective here meets with so many associated values of why they were designed, as well as the history of many a woe and accomplishment. The artist choice of tonal value and compostion highlights her understanding of an abandoned factory. the fisheye perspective--serves as an colourful and amusing view of what could have been typical. Like a fairytale from Mother Goose--(who btw is telling the tale in the bottom right hand corner). it invites a tour into this fantasy landscape. *
Dorothea Lange comes to mind ASAP, in looking at this image. I like the nostalgic impressions via lighting and the composition, drawing attention to this worker and his lot.
Ok--I'll fess--this made me laugh. Yet aside from that, we can indeed see the class gap--in clothing and disposition. Going throught this photographers gallery we see alot of the 'new'China---with an old and frail --bent over and weak reality. Perhaps this woman is telling us--'things are not always as they seem.' The reason my attention is drawn to this image, is the immediate universal code of approval. Photographers have a responsibility to show us the world outside our own back yards. This is accomplished here. Homelessness is a universal issue. There can not be enough images taken to emphasis this. What draws me to this one is the affection expressed between both man and best friend. Each benefiting from the others company. Such companionship, no doubts makes a difference between being throughly disconnected and having some sense of belonging. Truly this highlights the need of love. a blue soul--a brilliant and creative concept -- Ignited with the sparkles of hope. a vintage vibe for the beach scene is reminiscent of pre-modern days consumed with a lack of raw abandonment. A tranquil composition of making peace with our shadows and their haunting. A humourous take on having a person in their pocket. *
to be able to get these brilliant colours using traditional methods--as well as the composition which sparkles dreamlike--
